Te Deum Laudamus: A Celebration of the Anniversaries of Britten, Verdi, Wagner and Others

Come hear a wide variety of choral works in this celebration of the musical anniversaries of 2013! The program will feature Benjamin Britten’s buoyant Jubilate Deo, brooding Hymn of St. Columba, and playful Festival Te Deum; both sets of Johannes Brahms’ passionate Gypsy Songs; a baroque motet of Johann Ludwig Krebs; lighthearted madrigals by John Dowland and Domenico Ferrabosco; and works for the church and, of course, the opera house by Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner.

This concert will introduce the new Laudamus Music Director, Miles Canaday! Currently the Choir Director at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Aurora and singing with the Colorado Bach Ensemble, Miles recently moved to Colorado after graduating from the Yale School of Music with a Master’s degree in choral conducting.

Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for students or senior adults 65 and older. Children under 7 are free.
