Echoing with the Stars

Featuring Matthew Coleridge’s Requiem

Echoing with the Stars invites us to pause, remember, and reflect on the mystery and beauty of life. Presented on All Souls’ Day, this deeply moving concert features Matthew Coleridge’s powerful Requiem, performed by Laudamus in collaboration with the First United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir and local professional instrumentalists. Through music that explores loss, remembrance, hope, and the enduring bonds of love, the program offers an evening of reflection and beauty, honoring those we have lost while celebrating the lives and love that continue to echo through us.

We are especially honored to welcome composer Matthew Coleridge to Colorado for this special performance. Coleridge is an internationally acclaimed British composer whose music has been performed by choirs and ensembles around the world. Described as “one of the most exciting new voices in choral music,” Coleridge has quickly established a distinctive place in the contemporary choral world. His Requiem has become “one of the UK’s most popular new choral works,” hailed by Classic FM as a “modern choral classic.” BBC Music Magazine writes that his music “reaches into the soul and lifts it skyward.” Audiences will have the rare opportunity not only to experience his music performed live, but to hear Requiem with the composer in the audience.
