Laudamus
The magnificent organ is silent this day
When the Steinway hosts forty glorious singers
The skilled pianists they play
And the united choral voice lingers
Today it is Brahm’s Requiem
Conducted with exquisite touch
Consoling the living this loving hymn
Leaving with the audience much
A wide variety of styles
Within this choral integration
The music flowing from the mind of Miles
And to us in celebration
This is the human requiem
Instilled to reach beyond the grave
With help from Christian diadem
A musical story to savor and save
